Pros and cons of World Map app for iPhone and iPad

World Map app good for

Cache feature is nice, I can keep maps Ive looked at for offline viewing. I can get detailed maps or satellite photos of even my small hometown. Requests 1. Map bookmarks - I dont want to drill down to a more detailed map Ive already downloaded. 2. Hide pins mode - pins are great, but I want to hide them sometimes.
As far as I know, this is the only app that allows offline viewing of GoogleMap. This is something I really need especially when I go abroad where internet connection is unavailable. This app would be by far nicer if it has some function to control cache. I do not know how to clear cache and how much memory it uses. I sincerely hope the function of this app will be further enhanced even though I suspect that there should be some limitation due to GoogleMap policy.

Some bad moments

NEW: Satellite map and street map are not even in sync. Placing a pin one one has it in another place on the other. NO GOOD. Where to start? No search function, so you spread-spread-spread to get to where you want, drop a pin, name it and then pinch-pinch-pinch to get out. After all that, the pins you drop and ID are saved on a seemingly random basis; sometimes none are saved from a session, sometimes a few are saved. Ive pinned Wellington, NZ half a dozen times and it still isnt there when I open the app anew. This *might* be a good free app, but its not worth $1.99 or even $0.99. Id really like my money back.
